Happy Christmas break sweet friends! I slept in this morning, ate a bowl of cereal on the couch, and I’m still sitting in my pjs watching HGTV as we speak. I don’t know about everyone else but I was in need of a much needed break. It’s nice to be able to relax.
I’m linking up with Traci, Hadar, and Kristin to reflect on my favorite memories of 2014.
I can’t believe that 2014 is coming to an end. It has been full of wonderful crazy ups and downs. My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary in Nashville where we enjoyed the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and all the experiences that Music Row has to offer.  I became a Jamberry nails consultant. My oldest nephew placed 4th in the state track meet in Pole Valut, my oldest niece graduated HS and is now a D1 athlete at the University of Oklahoma, and my fourth nephew as born. In 2014, my husband and I paid off 3 debts (thank you TPT) and we bought our first boat. Most of our summer was spent at the lake and we couldn’t have been happier. I reached my first milestone on TPT and have made some wonderful bloggy friends this year. I traveled to Vegas twice this year. Once for the first annual TPT conference and the second time with my husband for the National Finals  Rodeo.  We are currently moving into a new house and getting ready to enjoy the holidays at my parents.
My husband and I have been hit with some pretty unexpected challenges this year. We have really focused on this verse this year. Jeremiah 29:11.
I L-O-V-E Palazzo pants! They are so comfortable. I bet I have a dozen pair in my closet. My husband just loves my online shopping habit. I have the pair shown above. They are from Giddy Up Glamour, my favorite boutique.
My mind has completely drawn a blank and cannot think of many new movies that I watched this year. I’m still waiting to see Mocking Jay. Hopefully I’ll get to see it over the break. We have been waiting for American Sniper to come out.
I have become slightly obsessed with The Walking Dead and by slightly I mean completely!
Now that I think about it, I think I started watching Walking Dead last year. We did binge watch Sons of Anarchy this year so we could watch the last season live. It ran a pretty close race to Walking Dead but not quite.
Maklemore’s is a local restaurant that we go to at least once a week. They have the best pasta.
This is the first year I’ve fully implemented Daily 5 into my reading block. I am loving how well the kids have responded to it. They actually enjoy reading time. They are always asking when D5 time is.
I have wanted these earrings for years. I came home one day to them sitting on the kitchen table. The hubs got major brownie points for this one. 🙂
How can I pick just one???
I really want to make one of these to display in my house. It is on my mile long to do list.

I really enjoyed sharing my Writer’s Notebook setup with everyone. You can click here to read about it and grab a FREEBIE!
TeachersPayTeachers has changed my life in more ways than one. I attended the first TPT conference in Vegas over the summer and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I hit many personal and professional goals this year.
Through TPT’s blessings my husband and I have been able to pay off 3 debts, buy our first boat, go on 3 vacations, and so much more.
Through this wonderful experience, I have been asked to present at the first iTeach 2nd grade conference next summer. I can’t wait too see what 2015 has in store.
The hubs and I at Thanksgiving. I just love this photo.
We went back to Vegas the first week in December for the WNFR (Wrangler National Finals Rodeo) and had the best time.
My goal for 2015 is to grow my faith and relationship with the Lord most High. I want to “check in” with Him more, pray with Him more, and trust in Him more.
Choose Joy!
