I’m currently a math interventionist and educational consultant, and I’ve provided professional development on mathematical instruction at the state and national levels.
But more importantly? I’m still in the classroom doing this work every single day. Everything in this book comes from my actual experience, not theory.
This book study is for you if you teach elementary math for grades 1st-4th. The examples shown throughout the book are in a 2nd grade classroom, however the strategies and taught can be modified to work with any grade level.
It doesn’t matter if you are a brand-new teacher or have years of experience. Everything you learn can be applied to your classroom, whether you are self-contained or departmentalized.
Each week, we will cover 2 chapters together.
Book study participants will be invited to join an exclusive community. This space will allow you the share your thoughts and key takeaways from each chapter.
Prior to each week’s book chat, you’ll be able to submit questions you might like to discuss over the chapters we are reading.
On Tuesday, Marcy will host a virtual book chat via Zoom to discuss the chapters for the week and answer any questions you might have along the way.
If you miss a week, no worries. Replays will be available for you to watch.
We will meet via Zoom every Tuesday from June 16-July 14.
All of our book chats will be hosted via Zoom. You can join from virtually anywhere!
Each week’s discussion will last approximately 60-75 minutes.
That’s ok! It’s summer and things happen. Each week, our book chats will be recorded and shared with you to watch at your convenience.
No! The book study is completely free. However, you will need your own copy of Small Groups, Big Impact.
