A Little Information
The 2nd grade TEKS, CCS, and other state standards are a little bit different. Where you teach will determine what type of fractions you cover. The Texas TEKS cover halves, fourths, and eighths. The Common Core Standards cover halves, thirds, and fourths. Each activity in this unit will include an option for the TEKS and the CCS standards. Some of these activities also include fifths and sixths just for exposure. You can pick and choose what you would like to do.
